Poetry & Coffees in the Park

Yesterday, I enjoyed a café latte, some puppy cuddles, sitting near Kirk on a blanket while he and I took turns reading poetry under the cherry blossoms. He asked me last week if he could take me out to the park and he would read to me. A mindful moment that I took time to be present and I closed my eyes to take in these moments; I felt the cool breeze, the sunlight breaking through the cherry blossom's branches, the sunlight was warming my face, and flower pedals fluttered down onto us. I could hear the poetry being read to me but I could also hear the birds in the trees and the rustling of the branches of the cherry blossom.
