Not going to sugar coat my experience and my thoughts on Fibromyalgia (FM). I was diagnosed in November 2018 and received confirmation, from a second doctor in March 2019, that I do have Fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia is defined by the Mayo Clinic as a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue with sleep, memory, and mood issues.
Because Fibromyalgia is different in every patient's experience, it is difficult to treat and there is no cure for this chronic illness. I have learned that it is all trial and error to seek what works best for each individual that has Fibromyalgia.
Symbols of Fibromyalgia Awareness

A common symbol for Fibromyalgia is a purple butterfly.
